<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which controls the sorting out the history information to be recorded, as well as a system, a program and a recording medium related thereto. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 10 includes a storage means which stores a recording requirement setting 200 which correlates processing executed in the image processing apparatus 10 and of which the history can be recorded, with the need for recording a history related to processing which can be recorded; and a history recording control means 114, which performs control as to whether history information 206 of executed processing is to be recorded in accordance with the recording requirement setting 200, when the image processing apparatus 10 executes the processing.
