<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element such as a dye-sensitized solar cell capable of obtaining higher light absorption rate and higher photoelectric conversion efficiency than one using one kind of high purity dye. <P>SOLUTION: In the dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element having an electrolyte layer between a semiconductor electrode 3 including semiconductor fine particles on which sensitizing dye is adsorbed and a counter electrode 5, two kinds of dyes are used as dye, and the two kinds of dyes are adsorbed in different portions on the surface of the semiconductor electrode 3. The semiconductor fine particles includes TiO<SB>2</SB>for example. As two kinds of dyes, for example, tris(isothiocyanato)-ruthenium(II)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine-4,4',4"-tricarboxylic acid, and 2-Cyano-3-[4-[4-(2,2-diphenylethenyl)penyl]-1,2,3,3a,4,8b-hexahydrocyclopent[b]indol-7-yl]-2-propenoic acid are used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
