PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication method and an authentication system capable of restricting terminal usage, in order to prevent an unauthorized terminal to be used, and to provide a terminal and a server for that purpose. SOLUTION: The authentication system for a terminal is used in a wireless communication system, where the terminal accesses a server through a base station. The terminal comprises a first encryption means for encrypting a part of data transmitted from the terminal with a common key to generate first encrypted data, a second encryption means for changing a code sequence of the first encrypted data to generate second encrypted data, and a transmission data generation means for appending the second encrypted data to the data to generate transmission data. The server comprises a decoding means for restoring the code sequence in the second encrypted data appended to the transmission data transmitted from the terminal and decrypting it with the common key and a data discarding means for discarding data received from the terminal when the decrypted data is not proper.
