PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the amount of focus travel in accordance with the occurrence of blurring in zooming speedily with high precision without depending on zooming speed. SOLUTION: In this control method for the imaging device, amount of focus moving is increased if zooming speed is low and blurring is great (when degree of focusing is low) and amount of focus moving is reduced if zooming speed is high and blurring is small (when degree of focusing is high) when selecting a cam locus based on zooming speed and degree of blurring recognition.
