PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting method for stably ejecting necessary amount of liquid for each film forming region, and a color filter manufacturing method and an organic EL element manufacturing method, to which the liquid ejecting method is applied. SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting method has a step to eject the liquid containing a functional material as liquid drops from a plurality of nozzles to the film forming region 2, by applying a portion of a plurality of driving waveforms generated with time-division to an energy generating means arranged for each nozzle in synchronization with scanning to relatively move the plurality of nozzles and a matter to be ejected having the film forming region 2 facing each other. In the ejection step, the driving waveforms with different timing of ejection out of the plurality of driving waveforms are applied to the energy generating means of neighboring nozzles relative to the film forming region 2 out of nozzle rows composed of the plurality of nozzles in the scanning, and at the same time, the combination of the driving waveforms are set so that the number of the energy generating means to which the waveforms are applied is the same for each driving waveform.
