PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling chamber capable of rapidly and certainly supercooling liquid filled into a vessel by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This cooling chamber 1 has a casing 2, a soft cup 3 provided inside of the casing 2 and storing the vessel P filled with liquid, a cooling medium Q filled into a space 4 formed between the soft cup 3 and the inner wall of the casing 2, and cooling means 5 for cooling the cooling medium Q. The cooling medium Q is cooled by the cooling means 5 with the vessel P stored in the soft cup 3, and the vessel P is cooled by the cooling medium Q via the soft cup 3. Thus, the cooling chamber stores the vessel P at a temperature not higher than the freezing point of liquid and in a supercooled state where the liquid is kept unfrozen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
