PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from being broken due to a buckling when restarting the operation of a continuous annealing line in a line operation stop state. SOLUTION: When the steel sheet is continuously annealed by restarting the operation of the continuous annealing line, (1) the temperature of an annealing furnace is lowered to the lower temperature zone lower than a heat-buckling danger temperature, thereafter the line-operation is performed, then at least the frontmost step of a portion wound in a roll in the furnace among the steel sheets in the roll-room in the heating zone when the line-operation is stopped is conveyed and moved in the furnace at the out of the roll-room, (2) after movement, the line operation is stopped and the temperature of the furnace. in which the portion wound in the roll in the forefront step of the furnace under state of stopping the line-operation is conveyed, is raised up into the temperature zone for re-crystallizing the steel sheet to recrystallize the portion wound on the roll in at least the frontmost step of the furnace in the steel sheets in the roll-room in the heating zone in the annealing furnace at the time of stopping the line-operation, and (3) the line-operation is restarted and the speed in the furnace as the conveying speed of the steel sheet in the annealing furnace and the annealing furnace temperature, are shifted to the prescribed speed in the furnace and the prescribed annealing furnace temperature.
