PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve washing performance by improving the circulation of a washing liquid. SOLUTION: A washing machine includes a rotary blade 2 rotatably provided at the bottom in a washing tub 3, a pumping blade 15 provided between the rotary blade 2 and the bottom in the washing tub 3, and acceleration means 11 for increasing the rotational speed of the pumping blade 15, wherein the pumping blade 15 is adapted to be rotated by the acceleration means 11 at a speed higher than that of the rotary blade 2.
