PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine allowing a player to optionally adjust the quantity of illumination light to be emitted toward reels from outside the reels. SOLUTION: The game machine includes reels 3L, 3C and 3R with a plurality of kinds of symbols disposed on the outer surfaces; a main control circuit 71 for controlling the driving of the reels 3L, 3C and 3R; and a casing 20 in which the reels 3L, 3C and 3R, a start lever 6, and the main control circuit, etc. are mounted. The casing 20 has a liquid crystal display device 131 allowing the player to visually recognize symbols from outside, and fluorescent lamps 138a and 138b to emit light to the reels 3L, 3C and 3R from outside the reels are mounted on the side face of the liquid crystal display device 131 on the reels 3L, 3C and 3R side. The game machine further comprises a forward light quantity changing switch 24 which can be operated by the player and an electric current control circuit 105 to control the quantity of light emitted from the fluorescent lamps 138a and 138b according to the player's operation of the forward light quantity changing switch 24.
