It is an object to provide a wide angle lens that can cope with a wide image angle, a good aberration correction and a less brightness difference and that can achieve a less ghost phenomenon, and an image picking-up device provided with this wide angle lens.A wide angle lens (WL) is in order from an object side comprised of a front group (GF) to include a front first lens group (GF1) provided with a negative meniscus lens (L1) with a concave surface directing to the image side, a front second lens group (GF2) provided with a negative lens (L2) with a concave surface directing to an image side, and a front third lens group (GF3) that has a positive refractive power and that directs its convex surface to an object side, which are put together with a negative lens (L4) and a positive lens (L5) on this order; and a rear group (GB) comprised of a rear first lens group (GB1) that includes a cemented lens (L6) having a positive refractive power as a whole and a rear second lens group (GB2) having a positive refractive power. |
