In the filtration and concentration of a suspension having a dispersant added thereto (liquid to be filtered) by circulatory flow thereof through a tubular filter, the filtration capacity of the filter tends to decrease in accordance with the progress of the filtering operation. Tubular filter (15) is coupled with inner rod (21) for insertion in the tubular filter (15), and a spiral flow channel is provided between the inner rod (21) and the filter (15). A liquid to be filtered flows through the flow channel. The inner rod (21) consists of core rod (23) and, provided spirally around the same, protrudent streak part (25). When the inner rod (21) is inserted in the filter (15), the apical portion of the protrudent streak part is brought into abuttal on the inner circumferential surface of the filter (15). The liquid to be filtered is to be in the state of being added with an excess amount of dispersant. |
