A lid body (3) slides on a sloped flat surface (102) to reach an end mechanism section (101), and a step section (31) of the lid body (3) engages with a step holding section (105). The lid body (3) is held by chuck claws (35) and rotated while being engaged with the end mechanism section (101) of the step holding section (105). Then, either of rotation restriction projections (28a, 28b) on the lid body (3) side is made to collide with a rotation prevention member (107) on the lid placement member (52) side. As a result, the lid body (3) is positioned relative to the rotation direction with reference to the rotation restriction projections (28a, 28b), and this attitude of the lid body (3) is held fixed. After that, the lid body (3) is rotated by a chuck while being aligned with a vial body (2).
