<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain clock synchronization in a transceiver and to prevent a PCR (Program Clock Reference) jitter in transmission/reception, for a packet transmitting device for an MPEG2-TS packet via a transmission path in which jitter may exist. <P>SOLUTION: A system clock common to transmission/reception is generated from a GPS clock received through a GPS receiver. The transmitter appends the time information of a transmit TTS counter based on the system clock, and sends out a (MPEG2-TTS) packet to a transmission path. The receiver stores the (MPEG2-TTS) packet in a receive buffer based on the system clock, extracts the time information contained in the packet, and reads out packets in the receive buffer in the order of the time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
