<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of motor which achieves both damping control and high speed response while suppressing saturation of driving force signals such as a torque command. <P>SOLUTION: A saturation determination means 6 determines whether a driving force signal τ<SB>r</SB>exceeds a limit value τ<SB>LIM</SB>or not. When the driving force signal τ<SB>r</SB>exceeds the limit value τ<SB>LIM</SB>, a command correction means 7 corrects a command signal X<SB>r</SB><SP>*</SP>by using a difference e<SB>T</SB>between the driving force signal τ<SB>r</SB>and the limit value τ<SB>LIM</SB>and outputs a corrected command signal X<SB>r1</SB><SP>*</SP>to a damping filter 5.
