PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat spreading method for an emissive display device, such as a plasma display panel or a light emitting diode. SOLUTION: Regarding the heat spreading method for the emissive display device having a plurality of discharge cells, a heat spreader is arranged in thermally direct contact with the emissive display device while substantially covering the plurality of discharge cells by the whole major surface as one of major surfaces of the heat spreader, and the heat spreader is bonded to the emissive display device so as to be sufficiently kept in a prescribed position, irrespective of the attitude of the emissive display device. The heat spreader includes two major surfaces, and also, includes at least one sheet of compressed particles of peeled graphite, and at least the one sheet of compressed particles of peeled graphite is bonded to the emissive display device so that the graphene layer of the graphite may be substantially arrayed in parallel to the main surfaces of the heat spreader.
