<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt fixing device forming no harmful crack in a resin layer or an elastic layer by pressurization at a nip part. <P>SOLUTION: A roller has the elastic layer formed of solid rubber. The elastic layer is coated with the resin layer, and a plurality of cracks different in direction are formed beforehand in the resin layer.
