PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control transmitter capable of remotely operating equipment in various ways by a simple operation with respect to the remote control transmitter to be mainly used for operating various kinds of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: An electrostatic touch panel 12 is mounted on an upper surface of a case 11, a plurality of switch contacts 22 are disposed on a lower surface of the electrostatic touch panel 12, and a control means 24 transmits a moving signal in response to touch operation of the electrostatic touch panel 12a moving signal and transmits a pressing signal in response to electrical detachment from the switch contact 22. Thus, when performing selection or the like of a menu displayed on a display screen 30 of the equipment, a cursor or the like can be moved and the switch contact 22 can be pressed while touching the electrostatic touch panel 12 with a finger and watching the display screen 30, thereby obtaining a remote control transmitter capable of remotely controlling the equipment in various ways.
