PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable automatic labelling while making the label to partially project in an angular shape with respect to an article, to facilitate the pasting operation, and to improve operation efficiency by reducing operation time as much as possible. SOLUTION: A labelling apparatus includes a label holding means 20 and a bending and pasting means 30. The label holding means 20 includes a sucking plate 21 having a pair of divided bodies 21A and 21B which suck and hold the label L from a label supply means 10. The bending and pasting means 30 forms a bent part 1 by folding part of the held label L in the angular shape and pastes outer edge parts 7, which are provided continuous to the bent part, on the workpiece W. The bending and pasting means 30 includes a movement control means 40. The movement control means 40 controls movement of an air cylinder device 31 as a bending means which forms the bent part 1 by bending the label L by causing the split bodies 21A and 21B to relatively approach or separate from each other and pressing the label L by the split bodies when they are moved to approach each other. The movement control means 40 positions the split bodies at a spaced position J when the label L is to be sucked and positions the split bodies at a bent-part-formation position K by moving the split bodies to approach each other from the spaced position J.
