PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite particles each comprising solid particles uniformly at a high ratio and having excellent size uniformity and dispersibility, and its production method. SOLUTION: This method of producing composite particles each comprising a polymer compound and solid particles, includes: (1) a process of mixing a first liquid containing a monomer and an organic solvent with solid particles to prepare a mixed solution; (2) a process of mixing the mixed solution with a second liquid to form an emulsion; (3) a process of fractionating the first liquid from a dispersoid of the emulsion; and (4) a process of polymerizing the monomer remaining in the dispersoid after the fractionation.
