A transmitter (4) transmits the data to a receiver (6), and measuring unit measures the distance between the vehicles. A positioning unit positions the vehicles and a computation unit computates the distance between the vehicles from position data. The computation unit computates a permissible minimum distance depending on parameters, which affects a braking distance of the vehicle.
