<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of horizontally and vertically aligning images with high accuracy, and to provide a control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 is installed substantially horizontally, by making the center line of X 21a and X 21b of a chart 20 into parallel with the gravity direction. The output of a G sensor of the digital camera 10 is acquired, to obtain the photographed image of the chart 20 after one second. The roll angle θc of a CCD and the roll angle θs of a G sensor to the chart 20, installed absolutely perpendicular from the coordinates of a feature point A and a feature point B of the chart 20, are calculated. The relative roll angle θO of horizontal photography is calculated from a difference between the roll angle θc and the roll angle θs. Furthermore, relative roll angles θ90, θ270 are calculated by installing the digital camera 10 at vertical photographing +90 degrees, and vertical photographing -90 degrees, respectively. The detected roll angle θ from the G sensor is calculated using the relative roll angles θ0, θ90, θ270 of a holding means in normal photographing to obtain a detected roll angle θ in which relative variation of a CCD and an acceleration sensor is suppressed. The detected roll angle θ is displayed and corrected, and the images are aligned horizontally and vertically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
