<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modifying agent for cellulose film, which is difficult to thermally vaporize and excellent in doping stability, and can minimize the optical anisotropy of a cellulose film, a cellulose film with minimized optical anisotropy using the same, and a polarizing plate protective film, a polarizing plate, and a liquid crystal display, which are manufactured using the cellulose film with minimized optical anisotropy. <P>SOLUTION: The modifying agent for cellulose film comprises a compound represented by the general formula (1), wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, aliphatic or aromatic acyl group, and R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>each represent hydrogen atom, aliphatic group or aromatic group, at least one of R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>represents an aliphatic group bonded by secondary carbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
