PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of a waterproof resin filled in a case to lower the cost, to avoid a deterioration in insulating performance and waterproof performance even though the electrolytic solution of the electrolytic capacitor is spouted or the pressure-waterproof resin in the waterproof resin is broken, and to downsize the whole case size. SOLUTION: The waterproof housing construction of the electrolytic capacitor comprises: the case body having an opening at its one end and a lid body for blocking the opening of the case body; the electrolytic capacitor housed in the case; and the waterproof resin filled in the case for waterproofing the electrolytic capacitor. A cylindrical body is provided to the lid of the case so as to surround the lid side of the electrolytic capacitor in a projecting manner, the waterproof resin is filled in the case body so as to bury the opposite side of the lid body of the electrolytic capacitor and to surround the outside periphery of the end part opposite to the lid body of the cylindrical body, and a pressure-increase-suppressing space surrounding the lid body side of the electrolytic capacitor by the cylindrical body and the lid body is formed.
