PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which can display high-contrast images even in a bright environment. SOLUTION: This is equipped with a plasma display panel which has a front face plate including a bus electrode which is a reflection element to reflect a part of wavelength range of light in visible light relatively more strongly, and a rear face plate opposedly arranged to this front face plate and which emits display light by light emission of a fluorescent material of the rear face plate by discharge in a discharge space between the front face plate and the rear face plate, and with a front filter opposedly arranged to the front face plate and including a transmission element which transmits the display light. The transmission element is a first chromatic color to absorb a part of wavelength range of light in visible light more strongly, and the reflection element is a second chromatic color which is the complementary color to the first chromatic color.
