DISK REPRODUCTION DEVICE AND DISK REPRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproduction device which starts reproduction of a main part with a simple operation by searching the main part and prevent the other content from being reproduced while reproducing the main part. SOLUTION: The disk reproduction device is provided with: a pick-up section which reads information recorded in an optical disk; a main part search section which searches a title of the main part of the optical disk using video management information contained in information read by the pick up-section; a reproduction processing section which reproduces the content recorded on the optical disk; and a control section which controls the reproduction processing section to reproduce the content in spite of a movement instruction when a navigation command to skip to a title other than the main part is detected in a period from the search to reproduction of the main part title when reproduction when reproducing the main part in the reproduction mode using the search result of the main part search section.
