PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently construct a building with high vibration control performance and to achieve unique appearance and functional constitution by adopting a soft first story. SOLUTION: A steel structure 10 of the building with a plurality of stories comprises two vertical planes of structure 10A, 10B arranged from the upper stories 10H toward the lower stories 10L. The lower stories 10L have a post member 400 of approximately Y-shape comprising one vertical post 410 erected as a structural member on the ground, and two diagonal posts 420 extended diagonally upward in the vertical planes of structure 10A, 10B from the tip of the vertical post 410 and joined to the upper story 10H, and two dampers 500 arranged diagonally upward within the first vertical planes of structures 10A, 10B from the base part of the vertical post 410 and connected to the lower end of the upper story part.
