摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and efficient method for evaluating iron ore by quantifying an amount of hematite ore in a mixture ore containing many kinds of ores. SOLUTION: The method for evaluating a mineral structure of the iron ore to be sintered by using an X-ray CT comprises the steps of: irradiating the iron ore to be sintered with the X-ray that has been generated in an X-ray source, from a plurality of directions through a filter having a density ofρ, a thickness of L and a filter index of F defined by the following expression (1): F=S(g/cm<SP>3</SP>)×L(cm), in a value of 0.89 or more, under a condition of a tube voltage of 150 kV or more; determining a spatial distribution of a CT value corresponding to an X-ray absorption coefficient of the inner part of the iron ore, on the basis of the intensity of the X-ray which has irradiated the iron ore and the intensity of the X-ray which has passed through the iron ore; further determining an apparent density in a cross section of the iron ore from the spatial distribution of the CT value of the X-ray absorption coefficient; specifying the mineral structure of the iron ore based on the apparent density; and determining the content of the mineral structure from an area rate of the specified mineral structure with respect to the cross-sections of all the iron ores.
