PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use bird and animal repellent exhibiting sure bird and animal repelling action over a long time without giving adverse effect on the natural environment and easy to produce. SOLUTION: The bird and animal repellent 10 is produced by kneading slaked lime 11, wood-based magnetic powder 12, human hair 13, wood vinegar 14 and excrement 15 of carnivorous animals, granulating 17 the obtained kneaded mixture 16 and drying and solidifying 18 the product. The obtained bird and animal repellent 10 is a brown sphere having an outer diameter of about 3 to 30 mm and the mass of one sphere is about 0.1 to 8 g. When the bird and animal repellent 10 is scattered on the ground desired to inhibit the intrusion of birds and animals or the surrounding area of the ground, the human hair 13, the wood vinegar 14 and the excrement 15 of carnivorous animals emit human smell, stimulating smell and carnivorous animal smell to cause the alarm of the birds and animals, prevent the approach to the ground and achieve excellent bird and animal repelling effect.
