<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of imparting an appropriate sequential number by managing the vacant number in managed numbers even when problem such as printing interruption occurs during printing. <P>SOLUTION: Specified information (sequential number) to be synthesized with image data to be printed is stored in a sequential number table 1182. When a control part 100 detects the interruption of the printing, the vacant number is stored in the sequential number table 1182, based on the sequential number where the printing is interrupted.
