<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide especially a hydroquinone xyloside taking the place of a hydroquinone glucoside by synthesizing a glycoside using xylan and having high added value. <P>SOLUTION: The glycosides having different polymerization degrees are produced by developing a method for efficiently producing a hydroquinone oligoglycoside having tyrosinase activity-inhibiting activities by using a phenol-glycosidase originated from Bacillus subtilis bacteria. It is shown that a new compound of hydroquinone-β-pentaose in the glycosides exhibits extreme tyrosinase-inhibiting activities to enable the compound to be applied to a bleaching agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
