<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer belt unit 30 where each primary transfer roller 4 can be individually and easily replaced. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer belt unit 30 has four primary transfer rollers respectively independently corresponding to four photoreceptors mounted on the image forming apparatus and electrostatically transfers toner images respectively formed on the four photoreceptors to an intermediate transfer belt 3' by the four primary transfer rollers. A plurality of frames respectively individually holding the four primary transfer rollers are provided, and constituted as an individual transfer unit 40 integrally attached to/detached from the transfer belt unit 30 together with the primary transfer rollers held by the respective frames themselves.
