PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk storage device capable of preventing the writing performance from deteriorating by eliminating futile waiting periods for the rotation and access. SOLUTION: This disk storage device has a pre-read processing function for executing the pre-read process when a read modify write is executed, a write processing function for executing the write process after merging data, and a function for accessing by dividing the pre-read process and the write process after merging the data and for executing a separate read process or a separate write process, on the way of pre-read process and the write process after merging the data.
