PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm system for fire protection and crime prevention in an apartment house. SOLUTION: The alarm system comprises radio transmitters connected to respective anomaly detectors 1 to 4 installed in each apartment of an apartment house, alarm relays, doorway alarms (outdoor alarms), radio relays, alarm receivers 50b, and a multifunction alarm receiver 50. Each radio transmitter transmits an anomaly detection signal from the corresponding anomaly detector to the corresponding alarm relay. The alarm relay can notify the anomaly indoors and the corresponding doorway alarm, radio relays, alarm receivers and multifunction alarm receiver can notify the anomaly outdoors or in common areas of the apartment house to whereby notify the anomaly throughout the apartment house. The multifunction alarm receiver installed in an office or manager room can provide the alarm source and the type of alarm to facilitate a response depending on the anomaly, including accurate communication and prompt countermeasures.
