PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a cable allowing a terminal with a cable to be automatically completely inserted therein; and a connector assembly having the same and a connector for a board fittable to it even when incompletely inserted. SOLUTION: In this electric connector for a cable, a terminal 16 with a cable C is inserted into a terminal hole 12 of a housing 11 in the longitudinal direction of the cable, and a movable member 20 is attached to the housing 11 to set the terminal at a regular position. The movable member 20 includes an attached portion attached to the housing 11, and a pressing portion entering in the terminal hole 12 and capable of advancing to an advance position corresponding to the regular position of the terminal 16 in mounting the movable member. The attached portions 21, 22, 23 include an upper plate portion 22 and a lower plate portion 22 both extending forward from a rear wall portion 21 of the movable member to be guided forward/backward along a top wall of the housing. The pressing portion is formed as a pressing arm portion 25A, 25B extending forward from the rear wall portion 21 and having a pressing surface on a front edge surface thereof.
