PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that power consumption is suppressed by controlling externally attached equipment through an IEEE 1394 terminal so that a power source of an externally attached HDD unit is turned off, and consumption output of a whole system is suppressed, but power consumption of an image display device it self cannot be reduced. SOLUTION: A power source managing part can set a supply level of the power source for the electric circuit. When such any state information is detected that the power source of the image display device is turned off, a screen saver is being operated, or the image signal does not exist, a state of the connected externally attached electronic equipment is controlled so that the power source supply level is set to a power saving mode, and the power consumption of the electronic equipment main body performing control is reduced in accordance with the state.
