[Also in Group X] A combined lighting and air conditioning apparatus comprises a concave reflector 11 having means for supporting a light source 14 within the reflector and an air duct 20 communicating with the region of the reflector accommodating the support means. The reflector 10 may be supported by the main ceiling structure so that its open face is in register with an opening in a false ceiling 15, an air trunking 19 being accommodated in the space above the false ceiling. Air from the duct 20 passes into an inverted tray 21 in the upper part of the reflector in which is a perforated conical deflector 23. The tray is closed by a member 25 having air directing openings 26. The open face of the reflector may be provided with a diffuser 18 of "egg box" construction. The reflector may be of elongated shape for use with fluorescent lamps. The trunking 19 may be used to supply more than one line of reflectors, the duct 20 being flexible to facilitate connection to a trunking arranged between two or more lines. |
