MULTI-MONITOR DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a plurality of high definition images on a monitor display by using outputs from a digital video interface.

SOLUTION: A multi-monitor distribution apparatus is provided with: a first connection terminal 16 connected to the digital video interface 14 of a computer 12; a second connection terminal 20 connected to the operating monitor display 18 of the computer 12; a bidirectional digital transmission line 22 connecting between the first connection terminal 16 and the second connection terminal 20; a distribution circuit 30 for distributing a transmission line which is included in the bidirectional digital transmission line 22 and transmits image data from the computer in the direction of the operating monitor display 18 to a plurality of new unidirectional image data transmission lines while leaving the transmission line concerned; a plurality of electric/optical signal converters 34 for converting outputs from a plurality of new image data transmission lines into optical signals respectively; and optical connectors 36 connected to the output sides of the optical signals 32 of the electric/optical signal converters 34 respectively.
