PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the thickening of liquid at the distal end portions of nozzles in a standby state without using a cap member. SOLUTION: The liquid discharging apparatus, which discharges the liquid from the nozzle on the basis of data, includes a controller which performs a drawing operation in which the liquid is drawn to a side opposite to a discharging direction so as to form space at least at the distal end portion of the nozzle in the standby state where such operation that the liquid is discharged from the nozzle on the basis of the data is not performed.
