PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of the high-temperature resistant oxidation treatment of an aluminum alloy capable of promoting the growth of an Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>film with a simple treatment and increasing the oxidation resistance in a TiAl alloy with its Al content being so small not to form any Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>film of effective oxidation resistance. SOLUTION: The mechanical stress is exerted on the surface of an alloy 1 containing Al to generate lattice defects, to increase the diffusion coefficient of oxygen to Al in a surface layer, and to promote generation of an Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>film 4.
