PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-directional input device which makes an operation body which gets a sliding operation return automatically, allows a wider operational area, and is reduced in unevenness of an operation force, depending on an operational direction. SOLUTION: The multi-directional input device is provided with a case 10 integrally composed of an upper case 11 and a lower case 12, and on a first wall portion 10a of a topplate of the upper case 11, there is provided an external open port 10b in which a projected portion 13b of an operation body 13 is inserted by sliding. In a first hollow portion 21 dimarcated by a first and second wall portions 10a, 10d, there are arranged a large diameter portion (a circular movable portion) 13a and a ring-shaped coil spring 14, and on the second wall portion 10d, there is formed a projected portion 10g of a circular shape which regulates a position of the ring-shaped coil spring 14, and when the operation body 13 is operated in sliding, the large diameter portion 13a is shifted in a sliding direction inside the hollow portion 21 and pushes down and expands an inner circumferential portion of the ring-shaped coil spring.
