PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent for make up cleansing, excellent in cleaning power against make up soil, excellent in use feeling and also excellent in preservation stability in a wider temperature range than those of conventional ones. SOLUTION: This detergent for the make up cleansing is characterized by containing 1 kind or≥2 kinds of nonionic surfactants prepared by adding 3 to 50 moles of ethylene oxide to 1 mol of a pentaerythritol fatty acid ester obtained by reacting 1 mol of pentaerythritol with 0.5 to 3.5 mol of an 8 to 22C linear or branched unsaturated fatty acid.
