PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bush cutter capable of reducing the weight of a casing and improving the reliability of attaching a stopper ring that constitutes a slip-off stopping element of an outer pipe. SOLUTION: The bush cutter is equipped with a casing 22, an outer pipe 10 whose rear anchor part is inserted in an attachment part 30 of the casing 22 and the outer pipe of which is attached with a rotary blade at the tip end part thereof, and a drive-transmitting shaft 6 passing through the outer pipe 10, wherein a jointing element 40 is fit onto the rear anchor part of the outer pipe 10, a stop ring 70 is set around the outer pipe 10 on the tip end side beyond the jointing element 40, and, in a state where the outer pipe 10 is inserted in the attachment part 30, the jointing element 40 and the ring 70 are fit in the attachment part 30, and an outside projection 71 of the stop ring 70 is inserted into a through-hole 34, formed on the attachment part 30.
