<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode body for a battery capable of managing to improve both energy density and high rate characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode body for a battery includes a standard collector layer, an electrode layer formed on one of the surfaces of the standard collector layer and containing an active material, and an inner side collector layer arranged inside the electrode layer and capable of permeating a metal ion.
