<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively shorten the time required for lowering the fumigation gas concentration of an air-conditioned space to a predetermined concentration in fumigation gas exhaust processing. <P>SOLUTION: In this fumigation method for air-conditioned space, formaldehyde polymer Hs is subjected to thermolysis to generate formaldehyde gas Hg, and the formaldehyde gas Hg is taken as fumigation gas to fumigate the air-conditioned space 1. While normal air-conditioning operation for supplying air SA having normal air-conditioning temperature from an air conditioner 2 to the air-conditioned space 1 is stopped, the fumigation processing for fumigating the air-conditioned space 1 using the formaldehyde gas Hg is performed.
