DISMANTLING METHOD FOR MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY OF FUEL CELL AND DISMANTLING METHOD FOR FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dismantling method for a membrane-electrode assembly of a fuel cell and a dismantling method for a fuel cell which are favorable for dismantling of the membrane-electrode assembly.

SOLUTION: The dismantling method is to dismantle a membrane-electrode assembly 1 for a fuel cell wherein a catalyst layer 3 including a catalyst and an electrolyte membrane 2 are laminated. A volume expansion material included in the catalyst layer 3 is expanded by expansion treatment while the catalyst layer 3 includes the volume expansion material expandable in volume. Then, the volume expansion of the volume expansion material expanded in volume is released in the catalyst layer 3.
