The method for the production of metal layers for photovoltaic cells, comprises dissolving a complex, covalent or ionically bound metal as target atom in a solvent, and separating a metallic layer (3) from a carrier (1) through releasing of the target atom. The solvent is compressed carbon dioxide, which exists in a pressure of 50-350 bar. The releasing of the metal (25) is carried out through heat supply at a temperature above the decomposition temperature of the metal complex (23), through the reaction with a reducing agent or through light irradiation. The carrier is heated at a temperature above the decomposition temperature of the metal complex through the light irradiation. A photocatalytic active reaction for releasing of the metal is started through the light irradiation. A further metallic layer is applied on the metallic layer through separation and releasing of the metal of the metal complex after the separation of the metallic layer. |
