An information processing system, a recording device, a portable device, an information processing method and program are provided to easily reflect manipulation performed in the portable device on the contents recorded by the recording device. An information processing system comprises a recording device for recording contents, and a portable device(2). The recording device includes a record control unit, a selection unit selecting the contents of a recording medium as object contents, which is transmission object, a creation unit creating digest information summarizing the object contents, a digest information transmission controller transmitting digest information set to the portable device, a manipulation information receiving controller receiving the manipulation information set from the portable device, and a manipulation information reflection part performing processing of the manipulation information about the object contents corresponding to identification information. The portable device includes a digest information receiving controller and a manipulation information transmission controller. |
