<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high purity vinylene carbonate economically obtained from a crude vinylene carbonate containing chlorine compounds as impurities. <P>SOLUTION: The crude vinylene carbonate is dissolved in a polar solvent and/or an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and then the vinylene carbonate is precipitated. As the solvent, one having a dissolved chlorine-containing impurity amount of ≥0.1 g, preferably ≥1 g per 100 g solvent is preferable and, for instance, toluene or a mixture of toluene and hexane is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
