<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an image with higher resolution while suppressing an increase in amount of image data recorded in a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image signal recording and reproducing device includes an input unit which receives input of an image signal, the recording medium wherein the input image signal is recorded, a recording and reproduction processing unit which records the image signal in the recording medium, and performs signal processing for reproducing the image signal from the recording medium and operation control over the recording medium, a switch which switches and outputs the image signal from the input unit and the signal from the recording and reproduction processing unit, and a resolution conversion unit which generates an image signal by increasing the number of pixels of the image signal from the switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
