<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a component mounting machine for allowing a user to efficiently perform the maintenance work of a component mounting machine. <P>SOLUTION: The method for controlling the component mounting machine equipped with a transferring head to attract a component and install the component on a substrate to mount the component on the substrate, includes a determination step (S1) of determining on which side of the component mounting machine a user who gives an indication to the component mounting machine is present, a step (S2) of deciding a target position to which the transferring head is transferred for allowing the maintenance work of the component mounting machine to be carried out from the side on which the user is determined to be present according to the determination result in the determination step, and a position control step (S2) of transferring the transferring head to the target position decided in the deciding step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
